The first to use artificial eyes were the Pharaohs, and how? The Pharaohs were famous for embalming the kings, and it was not possible to leave the sensual things in the body after death. They used to clean the body from all its organs, in addition to the eyes, and put artificial eyes made of gold, silver, or ceramics.
After that, the Greeks and Romans used it for their princes and kings, but not for the dead, but for the living, and it was also made of metal and glass. The artificial eye was glass mixed with lead, and of course the color was artificial with distinction. Until now, the glass eye is still being used.
The story of the artificial eye exists with the human presence, and usually the person likes to hide the disease or the organ that does not work in his body, so they have been researching in order to beautify the human face in terms of the eye.
